PC Backback and Stats go blank

In the middle of gameplay my screen will go blank. When I loot body boxes, the inventory is black and I can't see the contents. This also happens on my own backpack contents, and sometimes my health bar. It is super annoying and it has gotten me killed.

remove "cl_showfps" from the config or advanced startup settings and the flicker is gone.
