So this happened to me back on BF4 which I was able to solve by having my headset set to default for playback devices, etc etc.
This time however it's still set properly, yet my VOIP functions aren't working correctly while in-game, in-squad in BF1. My teammate's voices are coming through my monitor's speakers instead of through my headset. I've tried even disabling the speakers on my monitor but that just mutes the voices entirely.
I've checked my settings in-game and set them to my headset, yet I'm still experiencing this issue.
Has anyone found any sort of fix to this? Or even experienced this same issue?

Sorry for bumping but i had the same issue and after checking my audio settings in Origin, the speaker output was indeed set to my USB Microphone for some reason.
Must have been a client patch from a while ago. I didn't even notice it until now. Anyway. All is well now.

Alright guys check the settings on Origin. I went to check my MIC and it had it as the receiving speaker for some reason. I changed that to my headset instead and now the only problem I have is finding someone that talks in the game ha ha I hope this works. I will update as soon as I verified that it works.

To solve this, in Windows 10 64 bits, go to:
- Windows Settings
- Privacy
- Microphone
- Under "Alow apps to access your microphone" swtich to "On"
This has solved my problem that the microphone does not working in BF
