Outfit on profile won't change [ Edited ]

my sims icon won't change their outfit. I can see on my sim that the outfit has changed, but in the sims profile pic, their new outfit will not load. had this happen with multiple sims now and it's very annoying.

@samaxolotl Hi, sorry for late reply. Are you still experiencing this issue? Could you share some screenshots about this issue?

It seemed the issue had been resolved but it happened again today. attached is a picture of the problem. as you can see, my sim has long hair, white shirt etc. but her profile picture  shows her wearing a ponytail, yellow shirt (her previous outfit).
