Hello,
@testthetester12: have your tried to clear app data in the local AND roaming path (as stated in my formal post) ?
Otherwise, please try to install it using a new profil/user on your computer, if it works it's definitively linked to your user profil on your computer, if it doesn't work, the issue may be linked to your network/router/firewall settings.
Good luck and keep posted.
Regards,
Mav

I have tried all these steps, including uninstalling and reinstalling Origin, clearing caches and still can't download. PLease help. It's been two weeks of contact with EA and I get given the same instrtuctions over and over again. They don't work!!

trying to download mass effect 2. when i tell origin to download it, it says "download in queue", but there is no queue active. if i log out, it says the download is paused, but gives no way to unpause the download.
i've tried pretty much everything from clearing the cache to a clear boot. nothing seems to work. please help.

Same thing for ME:A trial for me. I guess their servers are busy with everyone trying to load ME:A trial

Do you have any sort of security software on your system such as an anti-virus or firewall? Those types of programs can also prevent Origin from downloading or installing your games.
Make sure that you either allow Origin, or that you disable these programs.

that would make sense, except that i've been having this problem with all my origin games since i had to start using it last year.

I've tried everything on google and I still can't download battlefield 1, cleared the cache 5 times, clean boot, set up static DNS like origin support told me, uninstalled all third party software, deactivated anti-virus, reinstalled origin, restarted PC, updated drivers, run installation in admin mode... still stuck on either "download in queue" or "paused 0%" game was working absolutely fine before the "they shall not pass" update, I guess I just can't play it any more if the whole of the internet and origin specialists don't know what the problem is :/
Edit: okay so I can't download any of my origin games so it's not an issue isolated to bf1, so the latest update just permanently broke my origin, great.
"Version 9.0.13
Edit 2: I had to reinstall windows fresh to fix this issue.
