No more townie pedestrians

Npc townies used to walk by my house all the time. I recently installed the game on my new Samsung phone and now there are no pedestrians which sucks because it is a hassle to go through 100 contacts to invite people over. At first there were pedestrians after I installed it but soon they stopped.  There are still pedestrians in other areas.
