Nihilistic Mystics - Bugged Bounty Hunter Quest

I've had this Bounty  Hunter Class Quest, Nihilistic Mystics, stuck in my log forever.  I go to Ambassador Yoran's office on Voss, which then tells me to use my communicator.  After I do, my character is stuck in place, the cut scene does not play, and I cannot move forward in the chain.  I've been able to reset the quest, but it will not let me abandon it.  Anyone have any suggestions?

No, no need to go back to do, just play the class quest you have remaining that is the correct one.

Have you done a client repair per this guide link and lowered all gfx settings to low and then try the cinematic ?

I attempted both just now but it still does not work.  Once I click the holocommunicator, I get an icon saying I'm "engaged in holocommunication", but the cut scene does not occur.  Is there by chance a way to abandon the quest?

What sort of video card are you using ? intel ?

you can reset the quest and also outside of an instance area right mouse click on your character portrait and select reset all active phases

I have also reset both the quest and local phases and it makes no difference

If it makes any difference, I've done tons of quests across multiple characters and servers, and this is the only quest I've ever had any trouble on over the years. It's plagued my account through multiple installs over the last couple years. Pretty much abandoned the character at this point, but thought I'd come here to at least try.

also with the game closed go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\BioWare\Star Wars-The Old Republic\swtor and dleete just the file called diskcachearena then try again

Deleting the requested file also made no difference.

There are some crash reports for windows update and your sound driver 

for those open a command prompt as administrator and type sfc /scannow see if that finds and fixes some stuff.

I dont think it would be related to this swtor issue though, i gather you have tried window mode etc too 

what is your swtor username in case not linked to this ea account , and will flag this to see if CS have any thoughts on this and if a ticket needs to be raised to look deeper for you

Can you dismiss the companion used by that character, and start the holoterminal without any active companion.
