It's supposed to be fixed in today's patch, but I highly doubt anyone will get lost progress back.

@BelGyptian To clarify, just because it is still saying that your inventory doesn't match, doesn't mean they haven't fixed it. You have to hit yes and see if it actually syncs properly. The issue was that syncing was failing, causing lost data. They are trying to fix the failure, not the inventory not matching

ive waited and a little over a month and I still get error code 40080000 on xbox one. I still can't go online. this update did nothing to fix this issue apparently.
