Low to High Ping

I have been an Apex player since S1. I am having an error that occurred in the past for some people. I am on PS4 and have a usual ping of 40-60 when I log into the game but then it just shoots up to 100-200+ after 5 seconds. My wifi is not the problem as I checked other games like Fortnite and Warzone which had constant 50 ping. Will this be fixed soon, never, or will I have to let it play out? I would really like to be active for the upcoming S10 event. Thank you for any responses!! My PS4 User is Jashawn6984

@Jashawn6984 try to change your DNS to 8.8.8.8 as primary and secondary 8.8.4.4 and try to power cycle the router

Did you have the chance to try updating your DNS settings? Are you still seeing any issues with your ping?
