Low FPS on BFV

I am experiencing low fps on bf5. I'm getting about 40 to 70 fps. Is there anything I can do to fix this. I have also noticed gpu clock speed decrease from 1.9 ghz to 1.4 ghz when the fps is around 40

rtx 2070

ryzen 2700x

16 gigs of ram

msi x470 mb

Does this happen only to BFV?

What is your CPU / GPU usage while in-game?

Have you recently made any changes to your system (reinstalled drivers,
made bios changes, installed new apps?

What is your max GPU temp when gaming?

Framerate is strongly correlated with resolution, are you running at 4K or even higher?

Your GPU clocking down like that may indicate your setup is CPU bound rather than GPU bound. Try a lower in-game graphics quality preset.

Additionally, on the NVIDIA control panel, go to "Adjust image settings with preview" then select "use my preference emphasising" and move the slider all the way left for performance rather than quality.

Select Manage 3D settings, scroll down to Power management mode and choose Prefer max performance.Click Apply at the bottom right

I'm running the game on 1080p resolution and on the lowest preset. I have also changed the settings on the Nvidia control panel. However, I did not notice any improvements in performance.
