I only have the windows defender and have tried adding exception for the game folder, tried disabling the control flow guard for the game exe and have tried allowing the game through the firewall on both private (default allowed) and public networks, none of that have worked. We need a fix asap, this has gone ignored for way too long.

IMO, it's not that EA or Codemasters don’t want to admit the Error, but they are investigating what's going on & probably already preparing a fix or solution!
I anticipate that the affected EA Pro players will receive some compensation for lost (4 days early) access & all other affected players will get the Reset of their 10-hour free trial.
Note, I just want to mention (for other forum members) that this Topis is about the "License check failed" error discussed here in this topic:

this is ridiculous, has ANYONE in the EA Play Pro membership actually managed to get their game running? all I have gotten from "ea" on these forums is "disable your antivirus and see if that helps" if it helped, I wouldn't be commented....We were supposed to be able to play this game on the 22nd of Feb.

it's nice to hear that something is finally being done and we're being told, it's only take 7 days of complaining on the forums to hear anything anything other than "turn your antivirus off" it's a relief, thank you.

Grid legends not working on upstairs pc. have installed on both upstairs and down stairs pc,same origin account etc. downstairs pc launches game no issues,
but upstairs pc (gaming pc) WONT LET ME RUN GAME, say's license check failed game will close

Nothing like paying full price for a game that hasn’t worked for a week now. Good thing gran turismo comes out Friday
