Lag spikes to the point I cant really play anymore 🥳

So like, ever since season 21 launched, the servers have been horrible for me.

For context, I play on Tokyo servers because I'm from Asia and lots of people play on Tokyo. The ping isn't that bad, most of the time the ping is around 70-110. 

The problem is that the servers are constantly lagging (no not the 70-110 ping thing). Pretty much every match (yes im serious) experiences lag spikes. I'm dead serious that I legit can't play because in almost every match (like 8/10 times) the game starts to lag, reaching 400-2500 ping. When that happens, it doesn't matter what ping the game ping pongs to because the entire time, I'm just frozen in place as if I have powers 😭🙏 not even exaggerating btw 🙁

To explain my situation more, the game STOPS (as in the match freezing cuz of lag spikes) when I'm IN FRONT of my enemy AND YES I'm not kidding and YES THIS HAPPENS WAY MORE OFTEN THAN SOME MIGHT THINK 💀 The game also often starts to lag for some reason near the ENDGAME where my team actually really needs each other. The lag spikes can also happen a lot of times in a single game which is often the case 😓

These lag spikes aka freezing in place always last around 10-30 seconds or more (mhm).

Even worse, it's pretty much 50/50 whether my lag spike disappears after an amount of time that a team fight takes and for the enemy to push me while I was standing still 😭 orrr it kicks me to the menu and so I had to sit the entire lag spike and wait in the menu for Apex to initialize (that's what it says idk).

Just to give an example, I was playing conduit in quads and we were going from hydroponics to phase driver after fighting an enemy team, while we started to go there, the game just froze me and sent me to the menu 🥶 after like one or two minutes waiting, I finally reconnected but then suddenly I was the only player remaining in our team, so the only thing I think that could have happened is that they either left me and died fighting another team while having a person down in the span of the time I was gone 😭💀 

And lastly, just to remind that when I use apps and play other games, there's no problem. And to be honest, the frequent lag spikes are genuinely crippling to my experience 😓

Hi, I have experienced similar issues.
here are a few solutions you can try:

1. Enable 'Dynamic Shadows' in in-game video settings.
2. If you have R5 Reloaded installed, go to Users (on your main drive), then find your pc name, then Saved Games, then Respawn, then you'll find 'Apex-fnf'. Cut the file and place it in a different folder before launching Apex. You can put it back in saved games before launching R5 Reloaded.

3. Try playing Apex at different times of the day, like during school hours, or around midnight, as you may just be experiencing lag due to server congestion.

@Shuriken5142 After a few days after I posted, the servers started to fix itself kind of, I sometimes still freeze and disconnect but at least its not as bad anymore 😔 jus sharing, but this one time that my game froze and sent me to the menu, it counted as me leaving the game and gave me a timeout for 10 mins like what did i do 😭
