Is this supposed to be in your mods folder?

★★★ Novice

The sims 4 usually shows you all the mods and cc that is in your game. But when I went through my mods and cc I found these unfamiliar things. Are these supposed to be in there? If not, how do I remove them?

You still have your old TS4 folder in Documents.

The only option that remains now is that the error is somewhere in this folder and that this is not the idea of your computer.

Step 1. Rename The Sims4 folder to "The Sims4 old"
Step 2. Turn on the game - a new game folder will be created and you will have two - one old, one new
Step 3. Check if you still have this problem in the newly created game folder.
Step 4. Delete in the new game folder following folders:
"saves" and Tray.
Step 5. Go to "The Sims 4 old" folder and copy - your "saves " folder.
Step. 6. Paste this folder in a newly created game folder.
Step 7. Do the same with Tray folder and TrayDeleteItems file
Step 8. If you don't use mods - skip this step.
Check if there are newly updated version mods you are using.
Then copy and paste your mods and CC from old mods folder to the new one. First copy the scripts mods every time checking if the game is working properly. If you have a lot of CC try 50/50 method ( divide your CC into smaller batches for example 50 pieces in one subfolder and check these subfolders one by one)
Step. 9. If all is OK - delete The Sims4 old folder. Now you will have only one game folder - I hope- working properly.

No, it should not be there.
Move your mods folder to the desktop. Turn on the game to create a new mods folder, then copy and paste your mods from the desktop to this new mods folder.

I don't work for EA

Does it mean that if you create a new mods folder then these files also appear in it?
These files should be in the game folder and not in the mods folder if these appear in the mods folder, it means that the game is broken.
First, fix the game on Origin
Origin / Library - right-click on TS4 - option "repair game"
And try once more move the mods folder to the desktop to create a new mods folder. Check if it has only resource.cfg file inside and nothing more.
If it once more will create this spoiled mods folder I afraid that you need
reinstall the game using Origin.

Does this mean that the reinstallation of the game has not changed anything?
