When I choose my character and click play, I get stuck in an infinite loading screen. After waiting a while I automatically return to character selection screen.
I have tried the following:
Switching my language to English UK,
Repairing my swtor,
Resetting my local app data settings,
Restarting my game,
Restarting my launcher,
Restarting my computer,
Reinstalling my game.

Hey @TheBlaustampo
That could be a connection problem. Please check that your antivirus "launcher.exe" and "swtor.exe" are not blocked and the game is coming through the firewall.

@TheBlaustampo is that happening just on one character?
It may be that you got stuck on a stronghold of a friend as this can result in this kind of behavior.
You can give my colleagues a quick call and they can get you back into the game. You can find their numbers over here

@TheBlaustampo I can see you only have Level 1 characters active. When you log on to a brand new character for the first time, you need to press Space Bar (this gives you time to read the loading screen intro text). If you try to log in again, wait until the loading bar has fully completed, then press Space Bar and it should let you in.

Basically the same issue. Dropped from the game while in my stronghold.
Logged back in -- after entering password get the spinning blue circle and nothing else.
Only once, after a very long time, it timed out with only the X in the upper right corner functional.
Repair option is not available as no patches have been installed.
Verified that Windows Firewall has permissions enabled.
The connection is via Comcast cable.
Looks like I cannot connect to the login server.

This last time, after about 15 minutes, it timed out with the error "Unable to retrieve patch data. Please check network connection. (208)
There isn't a problem with the network, as all other programs tested function correctly.

Hi @Sakshale
On Friday there was an outage with Comcast, if you look up "Comcast outage June 29th" it'll probably clear up what happened in your specific case.

Thank you. I suspect you are correct, as I haven't had any problems since then.
