Immediate crash-to-desktop (Steam) [ Edited ]

When launching the game, I get the initial splash screen (complete with loading bar for easy anti-cheat)

It then goes to a dark grey full screen image, with the 'split' octagon/circle in the middle, and the 4 x 4 pixel grid animation in the bottom right corner.

At this point the game dumps me back to the desktop/Steam and I can repeat the process again.

I would attach an mdmp file from the CrashDumps folder, but this portal doesn't accept that file type.

All drivers are up to date; system specs are:

OS:Win 10 x64 build 19041.508

CPU: Ryzen 3600

GPU: EVGA GTX 980

Mobo: Gigabyte B550 Gaming 

RAM: Corsair Vengenance (16GB total)

@kechurchill Happens to me too, except it crashes my entire system and forces a reboot. Revalidating Steam files and reinstalling Nvidia drivers does nothing.

@stjohn65 Same for me though only when trying the story - crashes launching on Mission 2 (Yavin) - works in MP though - even if I suck

Freaking hate EA....  3 weeks now, and no response at all to this crap...
