I can't create a SWTOR account

I have an account with EA and play SWGOH and the Battlefront Companion app but when I try to play for free on SWTOR and create an account I can't. It's telling me my email address is not a recognized format and that's the only email address I have. How can I login to SWTOR with my EA account?

You need an separate account and it could be better to use an email never used with EA before.

Ahrngrim I tried using a different email address and SWTOR is still telling me it's not in a recognized format. I can't create a SWTOR account because it won't accept my email address.

Do you use special characters?
Could it be an problem like Caps with @ or an Space somewhere?

Ahrngrim my username on SWGOH is G1975 but SWTOR wouldn't accept that and I use my email address from Google and that's the account I have with EA. I just don't understand why SWTOR won't let me use them

if using gmail, Try using You@googlemail.com and try that in a different web browser like edge

Been struggling to create an account for 2 hours , i cannot understand how something that easy is so difficult. I ve tried everything , trying to connect with EA account , mixed steam account with EA account , tried for 30 minutes to make an display name on SOTWR site but always it says is not working. I got so hyped to try the game only to have an complete headache after downloading it because i cannot create an frikin account.

what step of the process is causing the issue, it should show up in red, is it always the displayname ?
