So I downloaded Origin and everything went fine. Then I decided to download the Sims 3 on my laptop, since my desktop doesn't have internet. So I put the CD in and then an Origin window pops up, asking if I want to install the Sims 3. So I click the install button and a different window pops up. It asks me to log in, but at the top it says, "Online login is currently unavailable" so I just put in my email and password and then it says "You must be online when logging in for the first time". I'm connected to the internet, I'm already logged into Origin on the website. Wtf?!

I suggest you try this, for some this has solved similar issues.
Turn off your antivirus programs when trying this. That usually can effect games and DLC when downloading/playing them unfortunately. Also windows firewall and windows defender can also mess up a download/installation. Read this on how to disable it. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-ca/windows/turn-windows-defender-on-off#turn-windows-defender-on-off...
Be sure to re enable everything once it is done to keep your PC secure.
