Grappling glitch. Cant transition.

For some reason, after a few consecutive fights in career mode, the grappling mechanic breaks down, and some transitions like posture up in full mount, or Single Leg Takedown defense, stop working. You can hold L2 and push in the direction of the transition, but the circle never fills up you just sit there, until your opponent transitions out.
