Girl toddler turned to boy child...

It was one of my toddler girl's bday, so I said okay, let me get her to child status.  Well, as soon as I did, she turned into a boy!! Is there a way to turn her back??? 

Also, will the Growth spurt quest be fixed anytime soon? I would love to continue on to the next quests. 

Any help would be great! Thank you!
