Hello! I just delivered my 6 week exam, and decided to relax and play some BF1 tonight. But after the new update, i cannot launch the game. When i press play in origin, i get the blue circle for like 10 seconds, and then nothing happens. Ive checked my task manager, and the battlefield 1 task does actually run for those 10 secons, but it just disappears. I think ive tried just about everything to get it to work, but nothing happens! It does not produce an error message, it just stops.
What ive tried so far:
I have not tried to play after the new update, so i do believe that has to be the problem. Untill now, i have clocked 60 hours of gameplay, withi no issues what so ever.
Running windows 8, Nvidia gtx 970.
Edit: So, i managed to fix the problem. After delving into the origin logs(C:\ProgramData\Origin\Logs), i found out that it didnt have access to the license files (C:\ProgramData\Electronic Arts\EA Services\License\). What i did was give my windows user access to reading and writing the files, and it was all good.
So if you cant start BF1, you get the blue spinning windows circle for 10 seconds, and then nothing happens, this might help you out! Cheers

Can you please elaborate on this process?
I go into Properties -> Security and the file has complete permissions.
Thanks!

Hey @xxine,
thanks for your attached DxDiag file.
Based on this, could you try the following?
- Perform a clean boot to see if there are any conflicting processes
- update Windows to the most recent build
- run chkdsk to check your drive for errors:
Run Chkdsk via Windows GUI (Windows 10)
If errors are detected, you will be prompted if you wish to repair.

Hi EA_Joker, appreciate your response!
I've tried all of your above mentioned tactics for getting my game working. Unfortunately it still fails to launch. Origin window disappears, Battlefield1.exe then loads and disappears and the Origin window pops back up.
I've attached the Client_Log.
Regards,
Jason

Still having this problem even after the new Origin update. Even tried the Beta version of Origin.
