Game will not launch, but gives no error?

[ Edited ]

I recently installed battlefield 1 and I can't play it, whenever I click on play I get the cloud sync window, the play buttons fades out a bit, then the window disappears and after a few seconds the play button becomes clickable again. Can anyone help?

I'm on windows 10 pro 64 bit, with an i7, 8gb RAM and a radeon R9 380X 4gb

Hey @AksK17,

So what you're saying is that Battlefield 1 is crashing to Desktop when you try to load it up?

Here are some steps you can try:

1. Manually Uninstall/Reinstall Origin:

https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/origin/origin/manually-uninstalling-origin/

2. Clear Origin Cache:

https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/faq/clear-cache-to-fix-problems-with-your-games/

3. Clean Boot:

https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/faq/how-to-clean-boot-your-pc/

4. Run Origin, and the Battlefield 1 exe file in Program Files as Administrator

5. Create a new Temporary Windows User Account, and see if it launches under that Account

Try these steps, and let us know if you still need assistance.

Thank you Standard smile

I'll try these, but the game doesn't crash to desktop, it just doesn't launch. Origin remains open.

I'm closing this thread to stop it being necroed.

If you have any issues with Battlefield 1 please make a new topic about the issues you are having and what kind of steps you have tried to solve it.
