Game gets permanent black screen or crashes on startup

Hi all,

After the most recent update today, my game has been refusing to load. It launches into either an infinite blackscreen or it loads for ~5 minutes before crashing. I already tried EA's proposed solution to game crashing on startup as well as trying to repair the game using Origin (also restarted my PC to no avail). Running Origin as Administrator also does nothing.

Any help is appreciated.

I launch the game and i get a black screen or i see the loading screen before it freezes and eventually crashes.  I tried deleting the BF2 Documents folder and nothing worked. Suggestions?

@stoveXpipe yeah same here... thought it was just me, and luckily ppl are quick to post these things! hopefully dice are quick to fix it..

Dont know if im the only one having this issue but im having a problem in the initial loading screen (the one with the title and the helmets) that it stays loading forever. I can see the loading icon moving in the upper right side of the screen and i have played the game yesterday before this update and it worked normally. Never had any problems to run this game since today.

My GPU is a Radeon RX 570 8gb

Ram: 12gb ddr3

CPU amd a8 .7650k.

I have tried to delete the battlefront 2 folder in documents but the problem persists. im running the game repair to try again.

Any suggestions? is somebody with this problem?

EDIT: Made the game work after a few things:
1 - Repaired game files

2 - Deleted Battlefront 2folders in users/AppData/Local and user/docments folder

3 - Deactivated the anti lag, freesync, enhanced sync, functions on my new radeon adrenalin software (2020 edition)

Rarely game wont boot so i close it then run it again and it works fine (im not running as admin)
