Game not launching - Crash on start up.

@crissea I'm literally having the exact same problem. Here are all of the things I have tried, albeit to no effect. Maybe they might work for you. Otherwise, EA support basically told me to wait for a patch.

1. Verified game files
2. Re-installed Squadrons (about 3 times now) and Origins
3. Updated drivers for Windows, GPU, CPU, motherboard, and DirectX
4. Made exemptions for the launcher, game applications, and Easy Cheat on my anti-virus
5. Running the launcher, the game app, and Easy Cheat as Admin
6. Created a desktop shortcut and added "-windowed" to force the game to open in Windowed mode
7. Selected both boxes in the "Change High DHI settings" options
8. Turned my PC off and on again

So here is my fix.

I luckily got in to launch one time.  I changed the video from 5120x1440 full screen to 1920x1080 window ( non borderless )

I can now load in the game and launch into Yavin missions ( SP and MP ).  The game seems to have a huge issue with resolutions.

No amount of repair, drivers, reinstall etc was helping.  This will be down to a patch from them.

I can't even get to the settings.

Game crashes right at start, at start menu, at faction select, during cutscene (furthest I came)....

Attached is DxDiag, can't attach CrashDump (Unsupported extension type)

It s strange! I have a hard crash when exiting game from main menue!

Haven't been able to get past the initial loading screen without a crash to desktop since launch day. Thought the most recent patch might fix things, but no luck. I have tried all the obvious fixes- update drivers for everything I can think of, allow through firewall, verify game files, forced start in windowed mode, no dice. DxDiag attached. Still no word on this?

I'm having this same issue. Nothing works. I've tried all recommended fixes (driver updates, easy repair, etc...) and nothing works. I just keep getting Error 26 right after the initial Easy window blue progress bar fills.

Finally i have no crashes but my HOTAS is not working any more.

I had problems exiting the game. It was a hard crash. Yesterday i had a tiny update for my WIN10 OS. ANd now i do not have any crashes.

I was lucky enough to make a backup of the settings when my HOTAS was working. I deleted the old one and replaced it with the backup!!!

Now Joystick and Throttle work again!!!
