Game doesn't put me in match

I can get onto the main menu screen of apex legends on my ps4 but when I start the matchmaking it will get to the canyon load screen and will then just stop loading and says that it cannot connect to the ea servers. And my Internet is not slow. If I do get into a match which is rare there is no lag and I can play fine
