Cheers. I didn't think Visual C++ 2015 would be the issue, as an installer typically pops up a warning when that's the case, during install.

This may very well be lack of retrocompatibility for CPUs supporting SSE 4.1 but missing 4.2.

There's some evidence in this thread to suggest that's the issue.

Well there is only like 200 posts in this thread, so if the problem would be in the thoushands I guess it would be already fixed...

But I guess we are a small minority so maybe a fix in a few weeks.

(I personally have the same problem and can run all other games just fine)

There's a precedent for this SSE issue getting fixed in a couple days with other games - Phantom Pain comes to mind, a couple others I can't remember.

I Fixed this by closing ASUS GPU Tweak. I think any GPU or CPU monitoring software will trigger the anti-cheat software and stop the game from launching.
