What steps have you done to fix this issue? Have you tried to:

  1. Repair the game via Origin
  2. Run origin as administrator
  3. Run a clean boot on your PC: https://help.ea.com/tr/help/faq/how-to-clean-boot-your-pc/
  4. Clean Origin cache: https://help.ea.com/en/help/faq/clear-cache-to-fix-problems-with-your-games/

Thanks!

Game crashes with DXR active

★★★ Newbie

The Game keeps crashing after ~5 Minutes as soon as DXR is turned on, no matter what quality level its set to. I have Riva tuner installed and checked what's happening. As soon as the game has loaded and I can move the VRAM load keeps increasing with a rate of 50MB/s until the 8GB limit is reached and the game freezes and crashes. I am not using an RTX card but I have installed the newest driver which has enabled DXR for GTX Cards. Even at the lowest settings, this happens. Is there a memory leak?

Relevant System Information:

AMD Ryzen 1600X

GeForce GTX 1080 (Driver 430.86)

None of these are overclocked

Frequent crashing since last update

I hope I'm not the only one having this problem but the game is literally unplayable for me since the last update. The game will crash frequently to the desktop with no errors. It's random and very frustrating. I can't even finish a round without it crashing.

This did not happen at all prior to the last update and I haven't made any changes to my system. I have tried everything to fix this and am very disappointed.

Summarize your bug Game either crashes or kicks you out to the menu during the "Deliver the satchel..." mission.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Just play the delivery mission.
What happens when the bug occurs? Crash, or kick out to menu.
What should be happening instead? Should be able to continue the game.

I just got the game yesterday, and now am at the Nordlys story, but at the mission "Deliver the satchel to drop point" the game crashes. The first time was before losing the satchel in the wind, where the lone soldier is at a campfire, the game just stopped. Tried resuming the game, starts loading but it crashed again. Tried again, but now after loading a bit, it goes back to the Nordlys menu(resume or restart, challenges etc). So thinking the save is messed up now, I restarted all over, this time I got to the point where you fall from the cliff into the water. The second i fall in the water the screen went black, started loading, and was back at the Nordlys menu again. Tried resuming, but now it crashed. Made a video of the third attempt, but couldn't submit the bug report with it, so made a drive link. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1FTHwio-R66BNkN8IoJ6ntLsYKZn0_JM3/view?usp=sharing

Hey @SymWick

Sorry to hear about this.

There are a few steps that you can try:

1. Turn off the Origin in-game Overlay in the Origin Launcher, and any other Overlays you're using such as Discord or Nvidia GeForce Experience

2. Clear Origin Cache: https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/faq/clear-cache-to-fix-problems-with-your-games/

3. Run Origin and Battlefield V as Administrator

4. Uninstall/Reinstall Origin: https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/origin/origin/manually-uninstalling-origin/

5. Clean Boot: https://help.ea.com/en/help/faq/how-to-clean-boot-your-pc/

Try these steps, and let us know if you're still experiencing this issue.

Thanks Standard smile

★ Guide

"We’re always working to improve the DXR experience, and if you’ve had to toggle down your RTX quality or turn it off, we recommend you try adjusting it each time you upgrade your graphics card driver.

DXR is still a new technology, so if you’ve already tried a clean reinstall of your graphics drivers, you may need to wait for a new driver for a better experience."

))))))))))

Are you seriously? New driver? Are you all good DICE?

DXR will never work ... we leave

@NorbiADV happened to me too. I couldn't shoot, except melee attack. I ended up letting the enemy kill me to restart from last checkpoint and that allowed me to continue.
