Friends list saying I'm offline when I'm not

Hi I'm trying to join my friends game so we can play Apex. However, the friends list isn't loading in game and it's saying that we're offline to each other even though we're both clearly in game. I've restarted Origin multiple times and so did he but nothing is working. Both of our friends lists still just say that we're offline. Is this an Origin issue or an Apex issue? Please any help would be great! Thank you.

I'm having the same thing. When logging in do you also get "Your account is logged in from another location" or something along those lines?
I've tried countless methods to make sure it's not on my end. From looking around it seems like an old bug with Origin that fixes itself after some time. In my case it took ~2.5 hours of waiting and then I could log in properly.
