Fifa 21 FUT can’t play against friend

Me and a friend both have Fifa ultimate team and whenever one of us invites the other to a friendly match  the one invited gets the message” lost connection “ and the one inviting gets the message “opponent left the match”. We both can play with other friends in ultimate team and outside ultimate team we can play together as normal and we have the same NAT-Type. We play on Xbox one s. Would be great if we could get help.
