So your suggestion about the isp router is very appealing

You have a scenario like this, right ? First the ISP modem/router and then your personal router ? 

You connect your console/pc to your router not to isp modem, I'm right ?

There is no way you can connect the console through the isp modem ?  This ISP modem have LAN ports or not, how many have ?

Well, the isp modem has 1 internet connection and 2 Lan connections for tv-boxes...
So if I want to connect straight to the internet connection port, no other devices will have access...
I do not use the tv-boxes though!

Ok no problem. Try to do the port forwarding rule and triggering ports on your personal router. Should work fine. ..

Check the isp router for nat and turn it off...let your personal router run nat otherwise your double nat.

bridge mode is best but if it means no tv and phone????

some isps help but some are less helpful so you might have to search the net.

mine is a nightmare and atm cant use bridge mode.
