With your game closed go into game properties (by right clicking apex in the origin launcher), and under advanced launch options type "-fullscreen"

 

That should fix it

Yeap because that solution doesnt solve the problem from the ground . You must force the game to always starts in fullscreen mode .

What you are experiencing isn't true full screen and it has serious input lag.

 

The game is absolutely broken (since none of the devs have talked about the full screen issues or stuttering) for many, many people.

After the servers crashing this morning, I haven't been able to enter true fullscreen (without input latency). Rolled back driver, installed new gpu, nothing works.
