I downloaded Apex on Steam and every time I try to open it, it gets past the continue page, shows a breif moment of the lobby page, and then crashes with the error code: Engine Error. Error reading pak file "C: Users/(my name)SAVEDG-1/Respawn/Apex/assets/11/promo/dl_prom0_2021_05_18.rpax" --Error 0x00000026
I tried some fixes I found online but none have worked. Here are the fixes I tried already with no luck:
Uninstall and reinstall
Repairing the game file on Steam
Renaming the file specified in the error code
Restarting my PC
Deleting the file in the code and repairing
Reinstalled my graphics drivers
Made sure there was no Windows update (sometimes that will mess with my games)
I even deleted the game on Steam and installed the Origin version and it still crashed and gave me the same error message
If anyone knows how to fix this please let me know!
