ERROR NBA-PDS

 NBA-PDS Error!

 

At least once a night, while playing with friends, the game will begin to stutter and then I am kicked out of the game. An error pops us, saying I've lost connection and it refers to "NBA-PDS".

 

This typically happens when playing with friends, but occasionally happens while playing with random people online.

In researching the issue, I see that this has been a problem in previous versions of NBA Live but no one has been able to figure out a fix.

 

Can anyone help????

I think it's because the host of the game backs out while playing online and throws either the whole team or same side off or takes just other players that are dependent of the host connection. Not sure but if your not disconnecting from online and have fast internet most likely it's others who have slow internet or could be a problem with EA servers. My advice is just close whole game down run a speed test under PS4 settings/ network/ test internet connection and see what you get. Also you can uncheck connect to internet and then wait 30 secs then check back on to refresh connection to your PS4 and run speed test again. Rebooting your system may also help. Rebooting your modem and router my also help.

 

If you are hard wired this might be better for a more stable connection. Check you nat type under network/ connection status or test connection speed. Why?

 

There are 3 types of NAT in your PS4: 

Type 1 (Open): The system is directly connected to the Internet (no router or firewall), and you should have no problems connecting to other PS4 systems.

Type 2 (Moderate): The system is connected through a router properly, and generally you won’t have problems.

Type 3 (Strict): The system is connected through a router without open ports or DMZ setup, and you may have problems related with the connection or voice chat.

The NAT type failed normally because of the network issues, such as the incorrect network settings or the network firewall problems. Changing NAT Type can be an effective method to improve your PS4 network status. At present, you can’t manage the NAT type status directly by your PS4 settings, and you need to change the NAT type by the router settings.

 

Usually nat type 1 or 2 are fine, 3 is a problem. Once you check all these specs out then you can determine if it is you or the game. Do you get disconnecting from other games online that requires others players like EA Madden or the like? If you dont then it's NBA Live. This also happened to me on Live 2018 and 2019 so it leaves me to believe that it's either other players hosting pulling out of game killing my connection or NBA Live 2018 and 2019 share the same in game bug to their servers.
