EA ID not working in Star Wars: Squadrons

Every time I try to add someone on PC by their EA ID name, it sends me an “invite failed” message as soon as I try to add them. It’s a pretty big annoyance and I would like to have this issue solved rather quickly if possible.

@TomatoSahDude Same here. They can see me and send invites but I do not receive the invite. I can not add anyone by EA ID or any other means.
I play on Origin, friends on steam.

Was a solution ever found for this? I can't ad any of my friends on other consoles (I play on Xbox).

I still haven’t gotten a response regarding this issue and just saw another person post about having it yesterday on here. Have you seriously not figured out how to make cross platform invites work yet?
