Duplicate Email

I am trying to login to Apex Legends for the first time but when I type in my email address for my EA account it says Duplicate Email.  My younger brother logged in just fine with his account.  Anyone know how to get around this?

Just realized I'm logged in here under my dad's account instead of mine, but I have been waiting for chat to come up for almost an hour already.  It is just sitting there.
