Desync when i invite friend but not when he invites me

When i try to invite my friend to play online the game starts with opening sequence and then i get a DeSync error before kickoff.---BUT when he invites

me it works just fine.  This just started about a week ago.  Why?

This does seem like a connectivity issue on your side, rather than on your friends side.

First, I would check the following link for info on opening your router ports:

If that does not help, it is probably worthwhile going through the relevant connectivity setup and help at the links below:

I have now gone through all of those steps and opened those port numbers but still having issues.

When i invite him it DESYNCs 9 out 10 times.

When he invites me it DESYNCS 1 out of 10 times.

any other suggestions?

Both you and your friend should have the same ports opened/forwarded.

Can you check if the situation is better if you both disable IPv6 on your router?

EA just trying to pin it on the users for poor connection issues. It's 100% an issue on their end. Most likely stemming from a bug from the most recent update or it's an issue with their servers at the moment. Me and my friend have been smooth sailing with online matches since release date and the desyncs just started happening around November or so.
