So i still see people having this error.
Reason: Windows shuts down your videocard driver.

Thanks for sharing this!
Just a little warning for people that will try this.
Editing the Registry incorrectly could result in failing to boot into windows so be careful when doing this.
They are working with NVIDIA to get this issue solved, so I think we can expect a fix sooner or later.

Nice one, but for the people who don't want to mess with their registry: Download MSI Afterburner and set clock speed to -50 (or if that still doesn't work, try -100, -150, etc.) This worked for me

Did not work for me. Crashed within 2 minutes of first game after making regedits and rebooting.
