Custom tournament mode - cpu selects weak team?

Hi,

This is issue is really bugging. Sometimes i like to create a custom tournament and play 1 player mode vs Cpu. However the cpu team selects reserve players with most of the big name players on bench. Why does it do this and is there any way to change it?
