Trying to communicate on console cross-play is hot trash and is killing the vibes for my main squad. Two of us are on PlayStation and the other on Xbox so we don't have the luxury of using Discord as a workaround. The two PlayStation players hear each other just fine but hearing the Xbox player is such a struggle! What's worse is the Xbox player is our IGL so not being able to hear him is a nightmare. It's hurting us to the point where playing ranked together would be suicide so we just don't do it </3.
For the longest time, we thought the Xbox player's mic was the problem but then we tried Warzone. When Apex was down due to major issues recently, we gave Warzone a try and that was the first time in literally months of playing together that we could actually hear each other. It was such a game-changer and made us all even more upset at Apex/Respawn for the state of its cross-play console game chat because all it came down to on Warzone was increasing one of the sliders in Audio Settings. That was it. It was such a simple fix.
If anyone knows a fix for this, please let me know, but Respawn, please get it together if there isn't one. This one is not hard.
