Crashes on loading screen PC

Game will not load.  It crashes on the loading screen every single time.  No error code.  Game files verified multiple times.  Multiple re-installs.  Drivers are all up to date.  Directx12.  Very powerful PC.  Specs are not the issue.

Please fix this game.

Hi @terpitude71 To check do you have low storage on either the internal storage or any expansion you may have installed?

Hi @lap072306 Does this happen when launching the game, or on a specific screen?

When you have a moment can we try a few steps?

• EA App's Cache (Top Left Menu > Help > App Recovery) 
• Repair/Verify your game based on which client you are launching from
• EA App - Repair (My Collection > Tile Dots > Repair)
• Run the System File Checker tool then Check for Windows and GPU updates  
• Default your game to the high-performance GPU, AMD Settings | Nvidia Settings | Windows Settings 
• Guide for Troubleshooting Graphics issues 
• Check for other applications that may be limiting EA App or Game performance

Perhaps you need to wait for the patch and it will fix the problem with the crash.

@lap072306 Having the same issue specifically on Steam Deck. Has no issues on desktop

@terpitude71 Steam Decks can be a bit tricky. Do you get a specific error message?

I don’t get an error message at all. Just locks up (BG music doesn’t stop) and will stay on loading screen until I exit the game through Steam Deck UI

Hi, 73D581AF9DB45C7F here. I have the same problem. I called EA tech support twice and did everything they said and it still happens. I have uninstalled and reinstalled both ea app and sims 4 game 11 times now and I still can not get the game to load. I did notice every time I get to the sims 4 screen on ea app is says last played today and I haven't been able to load since May 2nd.

freeing up some storage and forcing the game to run on the most recent Proton update seems to have fixed things.
