Crash to Desktop or Bluescreen Issue

★★★ Newbie

Initially I had an issue where it would immediately crash to desktop. No error message or anything. However, I found a workaround:

https://forums.battlefield.com/en-us/discussion/164774/battlefield-v-crashing-w-no-error-message-pos...

The problem with emptying the cache regularly is: I don't want to have to empty the cache regularly. It works for 1-3 map plays at a time, and then the game crashes again.

Occasionally it'll blue-screen me with memory errors.

Based on everything else I've read it seems to have something to do with the game filling up your RAM without dumping stuff no longer needed, so eventually over time your RAM will simply fill up and then lock up and crash.

I have had zero frame rate issues, zero connectivity or ping issues, and zero graphics issues.

Does someone have any ideas?

Attaching dxdiag underneath.

Your C:\ drive has only 18.8GB of free space, try to free up enough space so that you have 32GB+ free.

Also, make sure you are letting Windows handle your pagefile size, choose 'System managed size' :

You can configure the page file by using System Properties:

  1. Run sysdm.cpl
  2. Go to Advanced
  3. Select Settings under Performance
  4. Go to Advanced (again)
  5. Select Change under Virtual Memory
