Controller being recognized as HOTAS

★★★ Newbie

My controller is recognized as a joystick, did anyone else have this issue?

It's a Logitech gamepad that works with any other game I've used on steam, but it doesn't work in the main menu nor in-game. It shows the icons for a joystick and the buttons are all over the place. Ex: "next" is right bumper but says "1", "back" is where Y would be on an Xbox controller but says "2". Ex2: roll is bound correctly in settings, but in-game it's only right stick y-axis, up and down.

I tried to use key binds to fix this, but they show up properly in the settings but still don't work once in-game. Would a certain Xbox controller emulator maybe solve this? xboxce didn't do the trick, not sure if another would be any different.

Hello there!

I surely had that problem because I have tested some controllers I own.

I suppose that you used the DirectInput controller.

If you can, change the input mode as the XInput or just replace to the Xinput controller.

(I also assume DirectInput/Xinput emulator would work.)

This will solve your problem. Wink
