Constant crashes [ Edited ]

I lowered volumetrics to medium (still at 1440p) and now the game seems to make it past those hitches we see during gameplay. Previously it'd just bomb out. 

So it might be an improvement; hard to be sure though.

I can't even get to the settings.

Game crashes right at start, at start menu, at faction select, during first cutscene (furthest I came)....

Same issue here, keeps randomly crashing to desktop without error message or other notification.

Did a clean install of windows 10, issue still persists.

I maybe have a new solution for you guys.

I started Squadrons normaly when it kept crashing to adjust my flight stick. I then booted into VR mode and no crashes anymore!

Obviously my advice is not to get a VR Headset (although, yeah you should) but to unplug your second monitor if you have one.

Well, the game is updating to 1.2 as we speak. From the release notes:

• Other stability improvements and minor fixes, including reduced crashing on PC
• Fixed an issue where the game crashed while transitioning into a match
• Fixed an issue where the game would crash when loading into Fleet Battles

Really hope this does the job.

I've finally fixed it for myself. Turned off SMT in the bios. Been stable for a while now.

I have an AMD 3600X.

Update 1.2 didn't do squat for me btw.

For me the new patch has done nothing only deactivating my mouse in the menue.

Hard crashes still here after exiting game. It s unplayable. I don t want to ruin my pc with this game.

UPDATE!

I had a tiny update for my WIN10 OS. Now i have no crashes but can t play cause HOTAS do not work.

I was lucky enough to make a backup of the settings when my HOTAS was working. I deleted the old one and replaced it with the backup!!!

Now Joystick and Throttle work again!!!

Same here.  Crashing on mission 2.

I am running triple 1920x1080

Can play game with no issue up to mission 2.   Practice works and story works up to mission 2.   Get all the way to deployment loading and ... crash.
