Connecting to Operations (PS4)

My friend and I are trying to play Operations together, on the same internet, and we keep getting disconnected from the server before it loads. All other modes work perfectly fine, it seems to be something with operations specifically.

on the different game modes are the medals available to track all over the place too? my game seems pretty messed.
