Commentary Update Won't Download/Freezes

I'm been trying to download the new commentary updates in Madden 17 as I have a broadcasting background and am curious as to how they go about doing this in-game, however since preseason, the update will not download and sometimes freezes the game on the title screen and I have to close the application in the PS4's home menu.

Rosters and other updates download fine, this is the only one giving me issues. Any help would be great.

Hey guys if anyone is having this issue with not being able to download the commentary update I have a solution. I literally just deleted the application data and reinstalled the game and it downloaded the commentary update when I started it up. I just did it right now and it worked.

Do you see any error message? Please post it here if so.

Everything else works okay, you can play online etc.?

I have the same issue. I do not get any error message it just spins and will spin as long as the screen is left there. If I cancel out it stops trying and lets you play. I have no issue with roster updates, etc. and am able to play online. No other network problems with other games or streaming services.

This is spot on to my exact issue. The blue circle just spins indefinitely. I can cancel the attempt and continue to play with no other issues. Hopefully this can be figured out.

Are you guys on wired connections?

Are you on PS4 also?

Yes, mine is for PS4. No, I am hooked up wireless. All the other updates and downloads work just fine. I have cancelled the commentary update and then ran the tuning update seconds later with no problems.

If possible, can you use a wired connection and retry the commentary update.

I am using a wireless connection also with a PS4. I can try the wired connection tonight and see if that helps.
