What OS are you using ?

For what is displayed , close the launcher , right mouse click on the game shortcut and select "open file location"

Delete the Bitraider Folder then start the launcher

I have moved your post to a standalone thread.

Certificate failure only occurs usually for the following reason

1. Time / Date is way out by years

2. Your OS is Windows XP or Windows Vista which are both unsupported OSs by Microsoft and they no longer update the Certificates required to start the game

If you are using XP or Vista that is correct , you will need to be using at least windows 7.

It is due as mentioned earlier, Microsoft are no longer updating certificates , so this issue will start to only get worse for those using these OSs now as the certificates expire.

The one that swtor was using expired in October and has been renewed and these OSs are now unable to launch the game.

As the screenshot mentions you will only be able to play the starter planets for new characters until the download is finished
