Cant Connect to EA Servers (PC)

I just bought this game and I'm on a brand new PC that I only got a few days ago. I have a strong wifi, but I realized I would probably need a cable, so my computer is wired on the Ethernet cable instead. I've tried to connect on wifi alone, on ethernet alone, and on both at the same time, and nothing. It doesnt even get me to Backyard Battleground. Earlier today it worked for about 15 minutes but it kept disconnecting me and sending me back to the starting page. I have no idea what to do next, I've checked the time on my computer and it's correct. This computer is new and has almost nothing on it so there's nothing more I can do. The internet is super fast but on the game it doesn't even load. 
Does anyone have any ideas why?

@Isabellapc97 If you are having issues connecting I would recommend trying the troubleshooting steps here: https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/faq/connection-troubleshooting-basic/

If, after following the steps and opening ports the issues continue the best thing to do would be run a UO trace and take a look at your connection.
