Cannot reset password

So I'm attempting to return to the game but I don't remember my password.  When I try to reset my password is tells me "An Error has Occurred".  I emailed support and they tell me to call the support number.  I call the support number and they have a recorded message saying go to EA help site.   Am I screwed over on my old account here?
