Cannot link items from Cartel Market

Why can't I link items from the Cartel Market using left shift + left click? I can link items in my inventory to chat just fine. And the others in my guild can also link items from the Cartel Market. I remember being able to before, but for some reason I can't now. I go to the item in the market, i click show item so it's the tooltip of the item as if it were in your inventory, and then I left * + left click it and it doesn't link to chat, just nothing happens. Why can everyone else do it but I can't? I also doesn't work for collection items.

@Ribbeyroller I just tested it in game on my account and shift + left click is working fine for me. 

Make sure you already got the chat open (with pressing enter or what you got as key bind) so that something can be entered there and it will then appear, even from the collection.
