Can't start the game. [ Edited ]

Hi. (FIX FOUND, READ BOTTOM EDIT)

When I attempt to start the game, it takes a good 5 seconds before anything happens, then it "starts" blackscreen in windowed mode for about 2-3 seconds before it closes without ever going fullscreen.

Things ive tried, updated along the way:

1.  Tried the repair
2. Launched origin and the game as admin
3. Turned off my antivirus/firewall
4. Launched the game from a clean boot
5. Removing origin and all files (registry keys, hidden folders) and all games
6. Used DDU to completely remove drivers and reinstall the version that last worked (388.31)
7. Tried windows compatability modes and disabled windows/xbox game overlay
8. Clicking / alt tabbing onto the icon as it as about to launch.
9. Rolled back any updates in windows or other programs done from 5th to 6th december.

No luck. Worth to mention that I played the game perfectly fine for a good 70 hours, last played day being 05.12, problem started 06.12. Havent messed with any settings or any updates. I did update my graphics driver yesterday morning, but I played many hours after that without issues.

I just want to play, but i've had a lot of issues with this game and it's really killing it for me. Any help is appreciated.

As of 13.12, I am still unable to play the game. There was a bigger patch that I downloaded today, hoped it would fix things but it did not. Currently I am waiting for Nvidia to investigate my msinfo, crashdumps etc, and hopefully they will find something.

So it's 08.01.2018. I make a new update today because I updated drivers to version 390.65. Still doesn't * work. I heard from "specialists" in invidia and they came to no solution other than launching the game in DX11, which didnt work either. Havent heard from EA since I last contacted them before christmas. This is infuriating, it's been a full month and I doubt ill ever return now, 0 answers from anyone in EA. GG

I HAVE FOUND A SOLUTION.

Since 20.01 I am able to play the game.

The fix is annoyingly easy, and I wish I did it ages ago. It does come with a slight sacrifice, and is only available to windows 10 users.

Basically I reinstalled windows 10, with that new option that came with the creators update. All my programs on my C drive has to be reinstalled, but the game now works.

It's called "Fresh Start", you find it by searching for windows defender security centre - device performance and health - fresh start. The whole process took about 20 mins, which sort of blew my mind. If you wanna read about it beforehand, you can do that here 

I will wait for some people to do it aswell to confirm this as a fix for this issue.

Mines been doing this for a while. I daily have to re install Origin or Delete my settings folder to make it work.

Its almost as if the game doesnt like 1440.

I have now tried deleting this folder before starting aswell. Still doesn't work, so it seems we dont have the same exact issue.

Did not fix it for me. After having extensive talks with both EA and Nvidia we've come to the conclusion that my nvidia graphics driver package "explode" when the game attempts to launch. We've found no solution so far sadly.

This has been happening to me ever since patch 0.2 was released in late November.

Since then there have been additional SWBF2 patches, Origin updates, Nvidia driver
updates (lastest today), all having no effect.

I've done pretty much everything I've seen suggested on this forum, short of reinstalling

windows, and nothing has helped.
