Can’t retire a Sim!!!

I honestly didn’t know where to put this, but this will work. I have been trying for soooo long to retire my one sim. I’ve been able to retire three others, but not him. It’s getting really annoying because I want to make someone else my third playable sims. My friend and I have done everything we can think of! Please, if you can, help!

How long is it since you chose your Sim's trait?

With my Sims it can take a week or so until the retirement option pops up. I keep them busy all the time. Activity is what makes retirement appear.
