I was in a ranked arena game, wanted to buy a weapon but then got code shoe. Reconnected to lobby and i got a warning for abandoning my friends, who i queued up with. I don't know the reason i got code shoe. I thought it was my connection but i did a speedtest right after getting disconnected and my wifi was normal. But im wondering why am i not allowed to reconnect into the match? Why did i get a penalty for abandoning my friends when i didn't wanted to? My friends we're fine with me disconnecting especially because it was a dumb error code. I've played CSGO and Valorant, and those games let me rejoin into a ranked match and i could actually help my friends win the match. CSGO even had a 3 minute period where i can reconnect without getting a penalty. Why can't apex have the same?
